Dare to Design (D2D) is an exciting, team-based challenge for students in grades 4-12 to teach them problem-solving, design, and technical skills. The program is developed by Eastern Michigan University professors, Dr. Gandhi and Dr Ahmed (www.emuinvent.org). NED SCHOLARS has partnered with the program, launched it in Pakistan, and sponsored it in Michigan. Participants team up to analyze real-world problems, create innovative solutions, and compete for a chance to win. Alongside the competition, students gain free access to a tech skills course in June/July, providing valuable training at no cost. The program aims to inspire young minds to learn, compete, and grow in a supportive, hands-on learning environment.
In Pakistan, NED SCHOLARS works with three schools and UTech Educational System to train students in various technologies during their summer breaks. These school-age students then receive specialized training in innovation and problem-solving from October through February, under the mentorship of our scholars. These teams then present their innovative product and services at the NED SCHOLARS-EMUiNVENT competition held at NED UET.
In Michigan, NED SCHOLARS sponsors Eastern Michigan University’s Dare2Design camps held from October through February. For more information and to enroll your kids in the program, please email [email protected]. NED SCHOLARS provides a scholarship of up to 50% of the cost of the Dare2Design program.
